New Studio space… a clue

Yes, my home studio has moved! For three months I will be working out of 1000 Parker St. Studios. It has been very exciting to mix and mingle with other artists. The story does not stop here. I am also part of this years Eastside Culture Crawl. Caw caw.

Each November—for 26 years and counting—the Eastside Arts Society [EAS] has produced the Eastside Culture Crawl Visual Arts, Design & Craft Festival, in which artists in Vancouver’s Eastside open their studios to the public.

The event is focused on the area bounded by Columbia St., 2nd Ave., Victoria Dr., and the Waterfront, and involves painters, jewelers, sculptors, furniture makers, weavers, potters, printmakers, photographers, glassblowers— ranging from emerging artists to those internationally established.

This is the back wall of 1000 Parker St. Studios, fabulous street art on this historic 100+ year old building. The stairs inside are steep with colorful hallways advertising the location of the artists’ studios.

The crawl begins Thursday/Friday November 17/18, 5pm-10 pm, the hallways will be packed with visitors so check your map, a useful guide. November 19/20, Saturday and Sunday hours are 11 am till 6 pm.

Theses are before photos. Eleven days to go so check back for after photos. I am looking forward to seeing all here! Caio xo
